Solution

In my perspective on bioethical issues such as abortion, designer babies, and stem cell research. I strongly believe that human life begins at the moment of conception, and as such, each individual has natural value and the right to life from conception forward. When it comes to abortion, I believe that terminating a pregnancy is the same to taking a life, and therefore, it is ethically and morally wrong. This belief comes from my beliefs and understanding of religious and ethical principles that emphasize the value of a human life.

One of the most convincing and in my personal view most reliable source that supports my views is found in the Bible. In Exodus 20:13, it states, “You shall not murder” (New International Version). This commandment, while often interpreted in the context of intentional killing, is also seen as a broad principle against the taking of innocent life. Many Christian view this as a clear view that abortion should not be allowed, it involves ending the life of a fetus, which is believed to be a human being in its early stages of development. Psalms 139:13-16 also suggests that God is involved in the creation of life even in the womb, further reinforcing the sanctity of life from conception.

As for designer babies and stem cell research, these practices bring concerns about playing God and altering life in ways that may not align with moral principles. The use of embryos in research, for instance, often involves creating and destroying human life for scientific purposes, which I believe undermines the inherent dignity of the individual.

In conclusion, my worldview centers on the value of human life, which informs my stance on bioethical issues like abortion, designer babies, and stem cell research. Every human being, from conception onward, deserves the protection of life, and these issues should be handled with the consideration of the sanctity of human.
