Discussion Post: Older age Bipolar Disorder with Dementia
My practice area is the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) MSN Program. I selected the academic journal titled, Case series: Older age Bipolar with Dementia, because it explores psychiatric mental health in the elderly population. I want to learn from the different cases so that I may incorporate what I have learned into caring for my future clients. My goal is to explore the connection between bipolar disorder and dementia in the elderly population. After reviewing this article, it’s clear that the cases presented highlight potential side effects associated with psychoactive medication. While pharmacological treatments are often necessary, it is essential to carefully consider the side effects and psychophysiological changes that can occur in the elderly population.

Usefulness of Database for Colleagues
According to the research (Mohamed 2023), digital libraries offer numerous advantages, including 24/7 availability, quick access to resources, and a wide range of comprehensive materials. The Walden University Library fits this definition as a digital library. I recommend this database to my colleagues because it provides access to online resources, peer-reviewed journals, and other scholarly content.
