Solution

I recently collaborated with Human Resources to release information about a new feature related to “suggested candidates” and how to access that resource on a new platform in which we transitioned. My role is to assist not only Human Resources, but other parties who influence and collaborate with human resources.  Human Resources must work closely with legal and through Collective Bargaining Agreements to ensure with the union to ensure employees have the necessary information needed to support their work or their position. My team works to distribute important messaging that affects both the employer and employee. We are currently in hiring season as we near the end of the school year. We must ensure that all parties have the proper information to either find new candidates or find new positions.

 

The strategic component includes structured mechanisms between the union and the district to allow for the proper distribution of information. Additional avenues to encourage dialogue, voice and advocacy for all parties involved would include advisory committees, and school leadership teams, Collaborative School Committees (comprised of union representatives, community members, students and school leaders), the employee action portal (where active employees can find valuable information supporting their positions and their employment experience), and messages received by and distributed from the communications team. The communications team must be diligent to ensure messages are sent in a timely, accurate, and legible manner as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
