As the School Age Coordinator in my organization, I’ve seen how Human Resource Management (HRM) supports both our staff and the long-term success of the program. From an employee-focused perspective, HR offers regular training, professional development, and helpful feedback. One of the best supports they provide is grants for staff to continue their education, which helps many of us grow professionally. They also offer strong retention packages, like staff bonuses and free childcare for employees who have families. These benefits show that the organization truly values and invests in its people (Armstrong & Taylor, 2020).
From a strategic HRM standpoint, the organization plans carefully to make sure staffing meets the needs of our school-age program. HR works closely with leadership to recruit and keep qualified staff, maintain certifications, and support leadership growth within the team. This long-term thinking helps the organization stay compliant with licensing rules and continue offering high-quality care to families (Boxall & Purcell, 2016).
Overall, I believe the organization does a great job balancing employee support and strategic planning. As a coordinator, I’ve seen how these HR efforts create a positive work environment and help our team stay motivated and committed.
