Solution

Technology is at the forefront of employee searching in today’s market. Job postings are strictly online via the company’s website, Indeed, and other job posting platforms. Ther are pros and cos to using the virtual job postings. The benefits of using online employment marketing is that is cost effective, efficient, and there is a wider range of people that can be reached through the job market (Ventola, 2014). This in turn can save time and streamline the hiring process and make it available to job seekers and employers at any time. Some of the drawbacks of using websites is loss of personal connection, technical difficulties, security breaching, and inadequate screening (Ventola, 2014). Some ways to help reduce these drawbacks is using online and offline methods such as networking events or in-person referrals. Implementing a strong screening process can be beneficial to identify the best candidates for specific positions (Ventola, 2014). Although there is no perfect solution to finding employees in a virtual job market, these solutions help to shed light on what could be done in certain scenarios.
